This week we discuss two films that look at the many problems in our legal system. First we discuss the documentary Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008). A heart wrenching story about a man that was killed by his estranged girlfriend who at the time was pregnant with his child. The story continues to unfold and goes in many surprising directions. Next we discuss the Sidney Lumet film The Verdict (1982) starring Paul Newman. The story of a down and out lawyer that gets a soft ball case put pushes it to trial and tries to get everything his clients deserve. Next we play our latest game Highest / Lowest where we try to guess the highest and lowest rated films in and actor or filmmakers filmography. Nick will try and guess Sidney Lumet’s and Joe will take a stab at Paul Newman’s. Then as always we select our films for next week.
