Widespread Panic bassist Dave Schools talks "The Art Of The Setlist" on Episode 58 of 'The JamBase Podcast.'
Widespread Panic founding bassist Dave Schools discusses "The Art Of The Setlist" on Episode 58 of 'The JamBase Podcast.' The chat with Schools comes after a brief rundown of recent music news from JamBase's Andy Kahn and a short profile of non-profit organization The Mockingbird Foundation. Dave Schools spoke with JamBase's Scott Bernstein before the second night of Widespread Panic's recent five-night stand at The Beacon Theatre in New York City. Schools explained the method WSP uses to decide what they'll play each night. The bassist then dove into how that method has changed and evolved over the past 30+ years. Other topics discussed were the band's legendary Halloween shows, how Panic began incorporating songs by namesake Michael Houser back into the rotation in the years and decades following his tragic death and WSP's upcoming studio sessions with John Keane.
