This week on Veterans Radio we will be talking with Lt.Col Dave Glassman USMC Ret. Co-founder of the Mobile AeroFest. AeroFest is a festival celebrating our nation’s heroes: the injured military service members and Veterans who have made enormous sacrifices in the name of a grateful nation. With a world-class lineup of music, art, sports, education, festivities and fun, this annual event will bring thousands of everyday citizens together with industry representatives to participate with these heroes as they enjoy activities and benefit from the latest technology in mobility, adaptive equipment and training. Unique among philanthropic festivals, AeroFest will dedicate its profits to critical issues such as suicide rates among Veterans. Profits will also facilitate future events for Veterans, and support charitable organizations dedicated to America’s injured service members. For more information about this year’s Mobile AeroFest go to their website. http://www.mobileaerofest.com/

GI Jobs magazine included Washtenaw Community College on its list of the most military friendly institutions 5 years in a row. One reason for that distinction is that the College allows military personnel who are called to active service the opportunity to return without penalty. As more troops return from active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, they will find a lot of support at WCC geared for their unique needs.

Join us as we learn more about the WCC Veterans Office and we talk with some student veterans in our studio.
