She was known for her business savvy, her take charge attitude and her acts of kindness to the timber families who worked hard to make the company a success. The Lady Bountiful loved the attention and praise she received for her generosity. But in 1922, she received attention from investigators who felt her husband’s sudden death, allegedly of suicide, was suspicious. This wouldn't be the only mystery Lillian would be associated with.
