Kristi Hopper and her background and ability to listen to clients and reflect their stories through the designs she creates is what truly sets her apart. Since 2002, Kristi has exceeded her clients’ expectations by merging visual artistry with fully functional design though her business, Kristi Hopper Designs based in Dallas, Texas.
With a corporate sales background, Kristi possesses the rare passion for both creativity and business management. With a career of more than 10 years at Canon USA and Canon Computer Systems, Kristi ran the sales operations and marketing development funds, managing a team of nearly 100 people. She also served as the liaison for the sales force to the corporate offices.
During this time as national sales operations manager, she harnessed her multi-tasking skills of working with various teams, products and projects, while still holding strong to her creative passions that developed as a child in her south Texas hometown of Brazoria.
In 1997, Kristi moved back to Texas and renovated and designed her home without any professional experience at the time, and anyone who visited would ask for her services. She slowly built her network and since the business’s founding in 2002, her Kristi Hopper and her design team have earned the reputation of strategic project management skills, attention to detail, creativity, and strong designer-client relationships – working with generations of clients and designs both primary and secondary residences in North Texas and across the country.
The stories of her clients inspire her, and the challenge of reflecting these unique stories and personalities. Kristi also has a passion for education in the industry and is always inspired by collaborating with others. She was recently invited to travel with a select group to Mercanteinfiera, the largest antiques show in Italy, and is involved in the American Society of Interior Designers, ART – the creative home furnishings network, the Texas Association for Interior Design, the Interior Design Society, and more. She holds a B.S. from the University of North Texas with a major in merchandising.
