This week with scheduled vacations for each of us we recorded a one movie episode as we discuss Atonement (2007) starring Keira Knightley, James McAvoy, Saoirse Ronan and Benedict Cumberbatch. Based on a beloved book and set in the back drop of World War II the story is about an imaginative young writer Briony Tallis, who accuses her sisters lover of a crime that he did not commit. Because of this lie all of the characters lives are changed forever. 

Next we have our Against the Grain segment where we talk about films that we believe the opposite of public opinion. Joe talks about The English Patient and Nick discusses My Cousin Vinny and the performance of Marissa Tomei.

We will be taking a one week break but we do select two new films for our first show back. We will be talking about a couple baseball documentaries The Battered Bastards of Baseball and Fastball in anticipation of the start of the 2017 baseball season.
