About Jim I am a pastor, coach, author, and a speaker who has a story to tell. I write (in The suffering guy. book) about my story not being the one I would have written for myself... I would have written something way cooler. "Why couldn't I be the 'my family owns an island guy'? That would absolutely crush at a party!" Instead my story is full of suffering, as my wife became seriously ill 3 months into marriage. It's been a long and hard road in the 15 years since, but God has shown us a pathway toward hope and an understanding that victory does not come in isolation. This is a story that I feel a great calling to share with others who are facing their own "expectation gaps." This is what I do professionally now: I give away free coaching for guys and couples who are suffering in the expectation gap. So, thanks for considering letting me share that on your platform!   Jim Barnard is a pastor and the founder of tiller coaching. He offers coaching to those who are suffering the reality of the expectation gap, where... disappointment dissatisfaction distress can cause real damage. Much of his biography can be found in the pages of The suffering guy. (book is available on Amazon) The centerpiece of this story is his wife's rare chronic illness that set in 3 months after their marriage. She has suffered greatly in a downward trajectory ever since. This reality has strengthened their faith and changed their mindset on everything.   GO TO: https://www.thesufferingguy.com  The website gives listeners a place to connect with me, see pictures of our journey, read a preview of the book, get a copy of the book, link to info about tiller coaching, and more.
