Submit ReviewWelcome to today's episode with Marisa Renee Lee a writer, speaker, and entrepreneur. We talk about her first job, which was where she started her own business around babysitting around the age of 12! Marisa worked for 11+ years helping put herself through college doing childcare related activities! We talk about how she took a year off right after spending so much time learning at Harvard to help out her parents as her mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. She got to spend a lot of time working in politics, and helped with My Brother's Keeper Alliance, and through all of that she was able to write a book about grief from her individual life, and how to live with loss. Grief is not just a single moment in time, it is the repeated experience of learning to live in the midst of a significant loss. We talk about how the reason you grieve is because you loved. We talk about where healing begins, and letting go of a lot of the judgement that comes in the midst of grieving. We talk about healing journeys, and so much more!
We talk about how "No" is an entire sentence.
