Perhaps one of the most courageous things an individual can do is serve a country that treats them like a second-class citizen. In this episode, we discuss this issue as we tackle the U.S. discrimination of queer military. Throughout the last 2 centuries, LGBTQ soldiers have fought to preserve our freedoms. Sometimes those freedoms included the right of others to discriminate against these brave individuals. Despite the threat of financial ruin, public shame, imprisonment, and death, queer soldiers have risked and sacrificed all for America. We start with the Revolutionary War and continue to World War One. So join us as we thank our veterans and recognize those who have so often been neglected. Episode by Paul Hobbs & Evan Jones
