It’s going to be a busy weekend for us here at TAWF. Damon, everyone’s favorite Mexican mayor*, and Kaz will be providing insightful commentary for Detroit Style Wrestling’s tribute event for Keith Calhoun on Friday. Saturday is NXT WarGames, which looks to be an unbelievable show. Survivor Series looks to be a very interesting cap to the weekend.

Becky and Bryan

Part of the reason why that Survivor Series card is so interesting is due to drastic card changes on the go-home episodes of RAW and Smackdown. Becky Lynch led the Smackdown women in an attack on the women of RAW. Becky, who has been jokingly referred to as “female Stone Cold,” became an even bigger star through injury as Nia Jax broke her nose and concussed her with a stiff punch. Lynch announced on Smackdown that she wouldn’t be able to compete against Ronda Rousey and selected Charlotte Flair as her replacement. Kind of a shock that WWE is giving us the Flair/Rousey match on short notice, but the fuel to the Lynch/Rousey fire burns brighter than ever.

Speaking of Smackdown, Daniel Bryan turned heel in shocking fashion and defeated AJ Styles for the WWE Championship. Bryan’s victory will now see him take AJ’s place in the Champion vs. Champion match against Brock Lesnar. This is a match that people have wanted to see for years, but Bryan’s heel turn adds an interesting dynamic to the dream match. In any regard, this weekend looks to be one for the books.

*You'll understand the "Mexican mayor" thing if you listen to the beginning of the show.
