Submit ReviewIn Episode 22, Adrian talks about how treatment made him start to accept who he was on the inside.
The post Adrian appeared first on American Addiction Centers.
Adrian’s greatest fear concerning entering treatment was whether or not he was going to be accepted and if he would face prejudice because he was gay. Now over a year into his sobriety he can reflect and say that treatment was one of the easiest experiences he has ever had.
Adrian has met a lot of people, both gay and straight, in recovery and participating in meetings. He realized it didn’t matter what your sexuality was — “we all have the same disease and we all relate with our addiction.”
