Submit ReviewAccording to Big Daddy Meltzer, almost everyone in this year’s G1 Climax is banged up. A steep price to pay for trying to crank out high-quality matches for nearly a month straight. But is it taking a serious toll on the health of the performers?
The character arc of Big Boss Man is truly something to behold. A much chubbier version first arrived in the World Wrestling Federation in the late 80s, looking to dispense justice in the form of beating the hell out of Hulk Hogan. Something changed in the early 90s, however. He became an actual beacon of justice and became the version of BBM that we all grew up loving. After a stint in WCW, he returned to WWF wearing black SWAT gear. A drastic new look for our childhood hero. He developed a pronounced mean streak. Okay, he was downright homicidal. He was pro wrestling’s version of Maniac Cop.
On this episode of TAWF, we focus on Big Boss Man’s insane heel run in the late 1990s. Gas attacks, murder, funeral crashing. You name it, Boss Man did it. Too bad he could only parlay it into a Hardcore title run.
