We recorded this episode on April 20th, so you know we had to give a shout out to Rob Van Dam.  The funny thing is, I had already planned to briefly discuss his legendary career.  I jokingly scheduled several 4/20 themed jokes to post at 4:20 PM on various social media channels for not only Podbros, but the bar I do social media for.  One of these jokes was a picture of RVD and Rey Mysterio doing their patented 420 Leg Drop on Kenzo Suzuki.  If I’m remembering this correctly, Vince McMahon told RVD that there was NO CHANCE IN HELL that they could use a marijuana themed move on WWE programming.

RVD, cool headed as always, explained to Vince that it wasn’t a 4/20 reference, but a reference to the fact that Rey and Rob were dropping 4 feet and 20 toes (I personally thought the 20 was their shoe size added up) onto their opponent.  Somehow, Vince bought this and they continued to use the move.  When the TAWF twitter account posted that joke, RVD was the first to like it and retweet it.  That was pretty damn cool.  Thanks, Mr. 420.

As many of you know, Braun is unbelievably over because he does cool stuff.  I was browsing Twitter one night when I noticed my friend Matthew use the hashtag #BRAUNHIVE.  That’s a reference to the #FutureHive, a contingent of fans who love the rapper Future.  John and I discuss the origins of the #BRAUNHIVE and all of the reasons why Braun is putting asses in the seats, brother.

Another topic on this episode is Jinder Mahal.  Jinder, or JinSADA as I like to call him, has been slowly groomed into the role of a reliable upper card heel.  The heat that he got on this past episode of Smackdown Live for winning the 6-pack Challenge was unreal, and I hope they find a way to sustain that kind of reaction.  Jinder is starting to win folks over by being a good ol’ fashioned heel.  Who’s ready to join the #JinderClub?
