Submit ReviewWe got a chance to hang out with The Lost Monarchs and talk about synchronicity creating their band, having multiple layers of meaning to the name of a band, transcending friendship into brotherhood, creating a'concept' album, and a whole bunch more!!!
The Lost Monarchs are a San Diego California-based jamband. The quartet is known for improvisational "jamming" within their original songs which some reviewers and fans have compared to The Black Crowes, Grateful Dead, Phish, and The Allman Brothers Band. The band shifts between genres of music with the intention of telling a story through lyrics, vocal and instrumental melodies and the ubiquitous feeling brought by a particular style of music. All the members contribute to writing songs and singing vocal melodies & harmonies. When the band performs live, an original song will take on different characteristics depending on the "vibe" of the audience and the band.
