Submit ReviewThe Woody Allen Classic Manhattan was chosen by Cathy Cullen of The Cinemile Podcast. She had never watched it before and this would prove to be a great opportunity to discuss the film before the Flixwatcher Podcast studio audience. (Ps there is no Flixwatcher Podcast studio audience 😉 ) Cathy was joined with her husband and The Cinemile co-host Dave, who also presents on the podcast “The Shitegeist”. The assembled Flixwatcher Crew find it hard to look past both this relationship, the fact that none of his friends seems to have a problem with the relationship and the fact that infidelity was treated in such a casual manner throughout the film. There are definite merits to Manhattan.
It contains Woody Allen’s typical brand of fast talking comedy coupled with beautiful scenery and striking images of NYC as well as the Gershwin "Rhapsody in blue
soundtrack".
