This week, Black Pedro and Mike Casentini discuss terrorism in America and that includes Americans as the number one threat. How many bullets does it take to kill a person? If you live in America, it takes all the bullets. George Zimmerman continues to be an asshole, with his most recent comments. And, Ted Cruz announces that he’s running for “wasting our time.” All that and more. TOPICS OF THE DAY 1. Vice Report: Sovereign Citizens seen as America’s top terrorist threat. 'The fact that you have people across America that believe that the federal government is an illegal entity, that a lot of state governments are illegal, and that the laws do not apply to them is very subversive to our rule of law and to our society.' 2. How many bullets does it take to kill a person? You ever notice that cops just can’t stop at one or even two bullets, why is that? Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputies shot a murder suspect in South Los Angeles yesterday. It took 8 cops or more and a ton of bullets to take down the suspect. Why? 3. George Zimmerman feels no guilt for surviving the Treyvon Martin murder. What an asshole. This guy can’t even keep his nose clean. What an asshole. 4. Senator, Ted Cruz announced this week at Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA., that he will in fact be running for President. Students at Liberty University were told that it was mandatory to attend his announcement. One of Ted Cruz’s largest issues is Obamacare, which he was fully against, but is now saying he will sign up for it as the law mandates. Even though other members of the house and senate will not be signing up but rather use their existing health care provided by the government. TODAY’S SEGMENTS Pedro Ponders by Black Pedro -- What happened to all the mailboxes? That Shit’s Obsolete by Mike Casentini People continue to ask me to produce DVDs for them. My standard response is always, "Why?" If you're paying attention to trends, DVDs should be obsolete by no later than 2020, and that's really pushing it. With the advent of the smart television as well as other devices like, Apple TV, Chrome TV, Playstation and streaming services like Hulu Plus, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Vimeo Plus and YouTube, as well as smart phones and tablets becoming alternative means to getting at content, DVDs are on the way out. You cannot even buy a new Apple computer with a DVD player. If you want one, you’ll have to buy it separately. Trust me, I've got one. I like to refer to it as a dust magnet. Now, why does Apple feel the need to NOT include a DVD player on their modern machines? Simply put, it doesn't help promote or sell content from their own distribution service called iTunes. DVD players are also very bulky and a hindrance to Apple’s constant efforts to create smaller, sleeker designs, and they have a tendency to break. DVDs are a petroleum product and NOT environmentally friendly. One of Apple’s business strategies is to appear green; eliminating the DVD player from the equation helps maintain that strategy. Some people don’t realize this, but DVDs have a shelf life. They must be stored in cool climates if you wish to keep them working. They also have a limited storage capacity, making it difficult in their current design to accommodate higher-end video encoding, like Blu-ray and even competitor codecs. Finally, DVDs can be pirated extremely easily, which is an obvious loss of revenue for the owners of said content. So, in closing, DVDs are obsolete. Downloading content is the “Now" and the future. Better get used to it. I advise buying an Apple TV, which costs $99. I think the Chrome TV is even cheaper than that. I would assume most people today have a game console, like a Playstation, which can be used to access online content. Or buy a Smart TV for a couple hundred bucks. I’m just saying. Times are changing, folks. Don’t be afraid. It just takes a few minutes to learn how to use a new technology and you’ll be better for it. FEATURED MUSIC 1. Ecstasy by The Ohio Players2.
