This past week I interviewed David Kinigson, who is an amazing haircutter based in the America with great heritage in the industry. David has worked closely with great names at the Vidal Sassoon Fifth Avenue Salon, New York in the 1970's and Vidal Sassoon himself contributed to David's iconic publication, The Hairctter's Handbook. David was once described as the most famous hairdresser you've never heard of. This made me smile lots.
David is one of the founding members of the Intercoiffure North American Artistic Team and Cutting Council. His deep heritage gives him great wisdom and knowledge of the hair industry. This is what we are to be spoilt with in this podcast today. As someone who sees himself as a haircutter and not as a hairdresser, I had to get Davids thoughts on haircutting. He will also be taking us deeper into why we need to think inside the box, before we think outside of it. Plus he will share where he sees the hair industry in 2021.
Someone I first connected with on Clubhouse, I really enjoyed this conversation with David. He has so much to share and all articulated beautifully.
