This week, Black Pedro and Mike Casentini sit down with two wonderful guests to discuss some news items of the day. One of the guests is Mike’s good friend, comedian, actor and Podcaster, Lawrence Thomas. The other is a special surprise, all the way from Detroit, author and mother to Black Pedro, Lolita Hernandez. One of the stories we discuss is very disturbing. A woman was found pushing her dead baby on a swing, which leads us into a discussion about parks in general. We also bring up Ben Carson again, which leads us to a discussion on public education. Currently, HBO is featuring a documentary called “Southern Rites,” which focuses on a small area of Georgia, that up until a few years ago was still having segregated Proms. We discuss the documentary, which leads us to mentioning a book called “Strange History of Jim Crow.” Finally, Mike explains how he deals with local Crack Kats.
