An adventurer and tech savvy entrepreneur that's traveled many of the planet's remaining wildernesses, Gary Mancuso is truly an explorer of our past and future.

Gary yearned to travel ever since he was a boy. Then, the summer before his senior year in high school, he left his family home in Ohio and drove to California, arriving in Los Angeles with four dollars in his pocket where he slept on the beach for a spell until he got his footing. When he wasn't off wandering somewhere, he studied economics, communications, and political science, got a master's degree in International Relations from the University of Southern California went on to headed business development in the trading room of a large regional bank where he created a game changing automated cross-borders payments service, a forerunner in what is now known as "Fintech".

In late 2005, he dropped everything, including a successful career, to pursue a life-long dream. Realizing that if he didn’t just go, the last intact cultures and wild places on the planet would vanish before he could see them. Six years later, he returned from his odyssey with a story like no other. This unique story is recounted in his highly-acclaimed memoir, "The Last Places on Earth: Journeys in Our Disappearing World", which went on sale in fall 2014, and will soon be in its third printing.

Presently, he works with a couple of technology startups and is an investment specialist helping clientele achieve their life's dreams by building a rock solid financial foundation.

A lifelong environmentalist, Gary is a strong advocate of using advanced technologies toward sustainable and socially responsible economic development. With his breadth of knowledge of traditional cultures, wildernesses, and the latest technologies, Gary brings a unique perspective tying our ancient past to the wondrous possibilities ahead.

Along with his passion for travel, he's an avid trekker, fitness buff, swimmer, scuba diver, and private pilot.
