This episode is for you if you've ever wondered the difference between a Hollywood director and a producer.

Every now and then this show will take a break from the personal introspection and hear from a guest who has something interesting to say. I'm kicking off that series with my talented husband, producer/director Jeff Tremaine.

In this episode we talk about his new movie The Dirt, a Netflix biopic about the rock band Motley Crue. Jeff shares why the film took nearly 10 years to make, and the most crucial decision he made in the beginning.

We also discuss how we stay connected in our marriage when apart for months at a time, and how he feels about making a movie that doesn't always align with his own values.
