On the latest Hawks Talk Podcast, Pat Boyle and Charlie Roumeliotis react to Rocky Wirtz's comments that “nothing lasts forever” and that changes could be made midseason if the Blackhawks struggle out of the gates.

The guys discussed the new Chicago Pro Hockey League that will begin in July and play eight exhibition games. Rosters have not been finalized, but as of now Jonathan Toews is not among the six Blackhawks that have decided to participate.

The summer league prompted a discussion about current leadership on the Blackhawks and Boyle believes Kane is showing more “captain” like leadership with the current team than Toews is.

They open up the mailbag and answer your questions about whether the Blackhawks can make a run at John Tavares and of the “Top 4” defensemen available, who would be the most realistic fit with the Blackhawks?
