Submit ReviewThis week on the show, we begin a new series: The Summer of '87!
1987 was a banner year for film, and the summer of that year was one of the best in history for films of the psychotronic variety.
We're kicking it off with a classic that celebrates its 30th birthday this week, the Arnold vs. alien extravaganza PREDATOR!
SYNOPSIS: Dutch and his group of commandos are hired by the CIA to rescue downed airmen from guerillas in a Central American jungle. The mission goes well but as they return they find that something is hunting them. Nearly invisible, it blends in with the forest, taking trophies from the bodies of its victims as it goes along. Occasionally seeing through its eyes, the audience sees it is an intelligent alien hunter, hunting them for sport, killing them off one at a time.
Along with special guest Todd Davis, we dive deep into the making of the film, its origins and its legacy and we ask the question: Does PREDATOR deserve a spot in the Psychotronic Hall of Fame?
