Welcome to Episode 2091, where Prof. Scienza takes questions from the wine community and answers them in his inimitable way! These shows are generally in the Italian language. Today’s question comes from Riccardo Bernasconi
Today’s question:
Climate change is threatening our industry with a magnitude and speed that we are struggling to understand and to keep pace with. Among many Italian varieties, which could be helpful to counter the change in the last few years? There were talks and experimentations with the so-called PIWI varieties. Could you give us your opinion on them? And, if any, how is the experimentation with these varieties going in Italy and in which regions?
