It was a while coming, but when it came Munster's win over Leinster was emphatic. The caveat of a weakened Leinster team might be applied retrospectively, but the alternative was barely worth contemplating from Munster's point of view, and their determination to keep their foot on Leinster's throat was exemplified by a fired-up Peter O'Mahony, who treated this game like it was one long interview with Reggie Corrigan. Ireland's women finished third in this year's Six Nations after their win over Italy on Saturday which, given the two-tier nature of the competition now, seemed like both a minimal requirement reached and the best result that we could have hoped for. We were introduced this week to the joy-filled commentating style of League of Ireland legend Joey N'Do, McDevitt throws down the gauntlet to tennis novice Murph, and there's possibly the most deranged email we've ever received.
