Welcome to Episode 2019 in which host Giulia Stocchetti interviews Nicolò Zagaglia. Nicolò Zagaglia founded Gajole in Matelica (Marche) when he was only 25 years old. Today, he’s 28 and he’s got lots of projects going on, being both an entrepreneur and an independent wine consultant. In this episode, he tells us about his experience as cellar hand in New Zealand during the 2020 harvest, his decision to start his own wine company once back home and what is going on today. He truly believes in the ageing potential of his Verdicchio di Matelica “M” and in the quality of Vino Cotto from Marche, his latest product. More about today’s guest Nicolò Zagaglia has a very specific dream: producing wine in the land where he was born, Matelica. And that's exactly what he achieved with M, a Verdicchio di Matelica resulting from his experiences in Italy and abroad. It is a particularly savory wine with character, a wine that aims for elegance and longevity. He doesn't have a family of winemakers behind him, but he is eager enough to start his own business project: Gàjole.
