Welcome to Episode 1798 on Italian Wine Podcast, Masterclass US Wine Market With Juliana Colangelo. In today's episode, she interviews Enore Ceola About today’s guest Born in the heart of the Prosecco region, Enore Ceola grew up on a winery bordering the Friuli and Veneto regions of Italy. He graduated from the Institute of Technology at Pordenone with a degree in architecture. He had a brief stint as a civil engineer before deciding to drop everything to marry the love of his life after a two-year courtship. In early 1997, he returned to his family roots and reached out to Mionetto for employment prior to leaving for the U.S. With a stroke of luck, the Director of U.S. Exports position had been vacated and Enore was promptly introduced to the entire Mionetto family, leading him to immediately accept an offer. Soon he found himself in NYC, introducing not only Mionetto Prosecco, but also the Prosecco category itself to the American market. By 2000, Enore had achieved success in the competitive NY market before traveling across the country educating people about the world of Prosecco and the rich history of Mionetto. Praising Mionetto and Enore’s efforts, The New York Times stated: “Perhaps no one has pushed harder to establish Prosecco in the United States than Mionetto.” Mionetto has been awarded several recognitions including Fast Track Brand by Beverage Dynamics, a ‘Hot Brand’ for the 8+ years by IMPACT Magazine, and the ‘Growth Brand’ award for the 7th consecutive year by Beverage Information Group. Mionetto USA was honored the “Importer of the Year” award in 2011 by Wine Enthusiast. 2023 marked the 25th U.S. Anniversary for Mionetto & saw the introduction of Mionetto Alcohol-Removed Sparkling Wine. Enore is currently the Managing Director and CEO of Freixenet Mionetto USA, importing highly acclaimed wines from world-renowned wineries including Schloss Johannisberg, Castello di Monsanto, Alfred Gratien, Pertinace and others Connect: Website: www.freixenetmionettousa.com/ Instagram: www.instagram.com/mionettoproseccousa/ LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/freixenet-mionetto-usa Facebook: www.facebook.com/mionettoproseccousa More about Juliana Colangelo: Juliana Colangelo is a leading communications and marketing professional for the beverage alcohol industry.
