Submit ReviewBack in our Best of 2018 episodes, we had a poll to let our listeners vote on their favorite film of the year, dubbed the People's Choice for Best Psychotronic Film of 2018. We made a promise that whatever film should win would be the subject of a future episode of the podcast.
This week, we're fulfilling that promise by taking a look at your favorite 2018 genre film, David Gordon Green's HALLOWEEN.
When we covered the original HALLOWEEN franchise in October of 2018, we invited on friend of the show and HALLOWEEN super fan Jeremy Johnson for a couple of episodes, so we found it only fitting that he join us again for a look at this "recalibration" of the HALLOWEEN series.
We'll discuss all of the behind-the-scenes drama that lead to the making of the film following the 2009 release of Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN 2 (and the unmade sequels left behind in its wake), plus how the guy behind ALL THE REAL GIRLS and PINEAPPLE EXPRESS got involved in a horror film.
And of course, we'll get into just how the film stacks up against its predecessors and how it fits into the current horror climate.
Join us next week as we begin our countdown to our favorite film of 2019 and the announcement of your pick for Best Psychotronic Film of the year!
