Welcome to Episode 1438; part of our Italian wine interview series set in Dusseldorf, Germany. Today Joy Livingston interviews Alberto Zenato from the Zenato winery.
Stevie Kim and her team travelled to Dusseldorf, Germany this March to collaborate with ITA, the Italian Trade Agency. ITA was organizing some incredible Masterclasses featuring the best wines Italy has to offer. Each masterclass was led by the Master Sommelier Eros Teboni (awarded Best Sommelier Worldwide in 2018), and they wanted us there to document the amazing 3 days!
Tune-in each Thursday as we bring you the great interviews that unfolded over the course of 3 days.
About today’s winery:
Zenato's is the story of a family that has its roots in the land. This is thanks to the passion and entrepreneurial vision of its founder Sergio who guided him in the realization of his greatest dream: to create a winery capable of harvesting the fruits of the earth and transforming them into emotions with a unique flavour.
Today, more than 60 years later, the results tell the story of the extraordinary value of that vision which gave rise to a great story starring Sergio Zenato's family: his wife Carla and their children Alberto and Nadia.
It is their eyes, their heart that continue the path traced by Sergio with coherence, keeping the rudder firmly on quality and love for their territory which for some time now has not only been Lugana but also Valpolicella, with its reds important and with unmistakable aromas.
