Welcome to episode 1183, another installment of 'On The Road Edition', hosted by Stevie Kim. Today Stevie sits down with Michele Tessari of the Ca’ Rugate Winery in Verona. And remember, this episode is in the ITALIAN language, however, if you would like to experience it English, please click the link and visit our Mamma Jumbo Shrimp channel on YouTube where we have added subtitles to this interview! youtu.be/um-pVdya1is More about todays show: Ca’ Rugate is in the heart of 3 DOC, Lessini Durello, Valpolicella and Soave. In the cellar of Ca' Rugate you will find their flagship wines, Monte Alto Soave Classico, Amarone and the unique Studio wine. Ca' Rugate is a winery with more than 100 years of history linked to the Tessari family for four generations and the Rugate hill near the centre of Bronoligo. Already at the beginning of the 20th century, Amedeo Tessari started producing his own wine, thus beginning the history of Ca' Rugate. His son Fulvio and his grandson Amedeo produced the first bottles under the Ca' Rugate brand name. In 2001 the fourth generation joined the company and a process of renewal began. Today Ca' Rugate is a company rooted in the territory but with an international outlook, with 90 hectares of its own vineyards and a production that knows how to respect tradition and embrace innovation.
