Welcome to Episode 1117 in which Steve Raye interviews Robin Shay, export Manager for Allegrini Winery. About today’s guest: Originally from the Napa Valley, California, Robin graduated from the University of San Pablo (Madrid, Spain) with a degree in International Business & Economics. Upon graduation, homegrown passions took him to Portugal to work alongside famed winemaker Jerry Luper (Freemark Abbey, Diamond Creek, Bouchaine) in the Douro Valley. He would later move to Southern Italy to work in the cellars of one of Campania’s premier estates (Feudi di San Gregorio). During his time in Italy, Robin became a professionally certified Sommelier (AIS Certified in 2004) and eventually moved into the role of Export Manager for the Allegrini Estates.
