Our MMO Weekly variety show discusses entertainment news of all kinds, including some TV & streaming trailers & reviews. Game Of Thrones was also something we had to cover while it was finishing its run, and we dedicated a full episode to recap the finale. So we have dabbled in television. But it was refreshing to see many of our favorite storytellers & stars from the movie world, and as a bottom line, we also just loved to recap a major awards show. The format for this episode was simple. We began with the big winners, going show by show & network by network first. Then we discussed some major takeaways about streaming vs cable vs network tv, while also adding some comparisons to the Oscars. As awards show enthusiasts, we broke down the entertainment value of the show itself, discussing all of the gags, performances, presenters, and star reactions before diving into some of the best moments of the night. Here, we had fun recapping the many highlights from all the biggest surprises, the shocking losses, and of course, we kept coming back to the narratives around Game of Thrones, Veep, Chernobyl, and Fleabag, the biggest winners on the night.
