Elena Fox is a Baltimore-based illustrator, comic book artist/writer, musician, cake decorator and cat enthusiast. She has done album artwork for Satan’s Pilgrims, The Electric Mess, Freezing Hands and The Resonars, as well as a lot of gig posters and t-shirt designs for bands, including Surfer Blood, Dressy Bessy, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, and David Leibe Hart.
Cake art and design was formerly her day job for over a decade where she worked at Baltimore’s Charm City Cakes and was on the Food Network's reality show “Ace of Cakes” (2006-2010), sculpting and painting bizarro cakes. She is currently reprising her role making said wacky sugar creations on Food Network's new series “Duff Takes the Cake.” Elena is the bass player/backing vocalist of PLRLS (a new wave/post punk/gonzo party rock band), guitarist/vocalist of Candy Smokes (trashy garage trio made up of teenage rats that were born to have a good time at all costs), and bass player/backing vocalist of Concrete City (snarky indie rock for refined punks). She published her first solo comic book in 2019 called Dramatic Paws Vol.1- a psychedelic look at her daily reality. She is currently writing Dramatic Paws Vol.2, out fall 2020.
