Elections take forever, and then they sneak up on you. There are fewer than 100 days until Canada votes on Oct. 21, and the polls show a near tie between the Liberals and Conservatives. Those same polls predicted a firm Liberal second term in 2018, and had the Conservatives near a majority earlier this year.
