BBC Local Radio’s Gerald Jackson celebrates 45 years of production.

A local radio legend, Gerald Jackson has recently been awarded in the Gillards for his outstanding contribution to BBC Local Radio.

Radio production, music and technology have played leading roles throughout Gerald’s 45 years in BBC Local Radio. In our podcast, Gerald steps us through the history of the network’s promotional production and identity and explains how, today, he manages the audio image of the 40 local stations.
