Dr. Vahabzadeh is a family physician, having completed training under the Royal College of General Practitioners. Dr. Vahabzadeh is deeply interested in neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism and schizophrenia. He is also a leadership fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He practices as a resident child and adolescent psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, in addition to being a clinical fellow at Harvard Medical School. His research experience has encompassed several lines of study, including genetics, novel psychopharmacology and social cognition. He is also Chief Medical Officer at Brain Power, a neurotechnology company with a wearable smart glass system for patients with autism. Dr. Vahabzadeh is also a strong proponent of mental health education, and has written editorials for Psychology Today, The Huffington Post, APA Healthy Minds, Boston Magazine and CNN.
