The first day of full pads in training camp for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is complete & so is the latest edition of the Downey & Martez podcast. Trey & Len started the podcast by acknowledging the joy loyal fans now have with being able to attend training camp this year as opposed to last year & being a part of a fan base for a team that not only made the playoffs last year to end a playoff drought but is the reigning, defending Super Bowl champions.
The gents moved on to the happenings of the first day in pads including getting a look at first round draft pick Joe Tryon, who was in full gear for the first time in nearly 20 months. The first day of the full pads also included some high points for the defense, which was discussed on the podcast, including an interception by linebacker Devin White of a Tom Brady pass, which left the future Hall of Fame quarterback visibly upset.
Downey & Martez couldn't end their podcast without talking about how animated wide receiver Antonio Brown was at practice & how Trey failed to complete his homework assignment of finding a better third wide receiver in the NFL than Brown.
