November has finally come and the Scream at the Screens team is excited to cover “Doctor Strange”; the first of several highly anticipated movies for this month. Follow us on Twitter @screamatscreens..

It’s a thoroughly entertaining movie full of clues and details on the expanding Marvel Cinematic universe.

But First Entertainment News:

This week provided two new trailers, starting with “Wonder Woman”, which predictably incited a wandering conversation into the state of comic book movies.

There was also a much longer trailer for “The Lego Batman Movie” giving hope that all the comedy he brought in “The Lego Movie” will be properly fleshed out in his own movie.

In what to expect news, Tiffany brings up the “Voltron” movie that looks like it’s finally getting some attention and might get out of production hell

The Fantastic Beast series has also announced it will be further stretched out into 5 movies instead of just 3. Johnny Depp is already on board for the second movie, though it’s not known if he will or wont be Grindlewald or maybe even 1920’s Dumbledore himself.

In what we’re watching, the team is proud to promote their latest addition to the Astropanda Productions platform “Westworld Revisited”. Since there is too much to discuss as a segment in another show, it has received its own. Look for it on iTunes and at https://www.astropandaproductions.com/westworld-revisited/

Meanwhile “American Horror Story” is holding strong with the horror and letting it all go with the gore. The latest episode is full of scary and cringe worthy scenes that are worth the watch.

The same can’t be said for “The Walking Dead”. It’s pulling its infamous routine of filler episodes after the exciting season premiere. Guess fans will have to suffer through 3-4 more lackluster episodes before the drama builds for the inevitable cliffhanger at the mid season finale.

Now on to the Movie of the week:

“Doctor Strange” had an amazing opening week. Domestically it made $85 Million and $240 Million world wide for $325 Million total, which isn’t too shabby for a movie with a $165 Million dollar budget.

Money that was well spent if the ratings are anything to go by, with a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes and an 8 on IMDB.

This is a movie that’s meant to be seen in 3D and it is much more than simply visually fun. The team starts out discussing its main points avoiding spoilers before giving in and pointing out what the details mean for the rest of the Marvel universe.

The mid credit scenes also go nicely along with another Thor themed clip, letting the fans know what he is up to, similar to what is seen here:

Closing up, the team touches on what they’ve been watching with Ricardo discussing “Trailer Park Boys” and Wade promoting “Atlanta”.

Join us next week where were the panel will discuss another much anticipated movie “Arrival” that is currently sporting a 100% on rotten tomatoes. A rating formed from the ratings of over 65 professional movie critics.
