Submit ReviewDick Tamimi was an Indonesian pilot who was caught for smuggling gold into Thailand to buy the fledgling Indonesian government’s first plane in the 1950s. He went on to become a legendary record producer in Jakarta in the 1960s, producing Indonesia’s first all-girl rock band ‘Dara Puspita’. They were likened to Indonesia’s Beatles, and now their story is being turned into a musical.
