On this episode of The Defense Rests, Rob Trejo Jr gives his post draft day reaction to the Spurs picking Devin Vassell 11th overall. Vassell was on many mock draft big boards to go well before pick 10 for most of the offseason. The fact that he was still there at pick 11 made it too good for the Spurs to pass up on.  In a way it was the most "Spursiest" move we could of made. Some may have wanted higher upside offensively and would of looked at players like Aaron Nesmith, Tyrese Haliburton or Saddiq Bey. Although, if you are in the Spurs draft room and you see a defensive prospect like Vassell, its hard to deny the obvious fit between the player and the organization. What his development plan will look like in an unknown.
