Now that the New Orleans Saints have landed Derek Carr in NFL Free Agency, their offense can begin to take shape. With 2022 QB Andy Dalton running an offense that was prepared and built around Jameis Winston, there was very little cohesion across the Saints offense. Now, Pete Carmichael can build an offense around Carr with the expectation that he’ll be the one to execute the game plans each week.

But that won’t be enough. Keeping Michael Thomas and Juwan Johnson, landing a running back alongside and in place of Alvin Kamara and shoring up the offensive and defensive lines are MUSTS of the Saints this offseason. If the Saints want to maximize the success they could see with Derek Carr, there’s more work to be done. Thankfully, the Saints drew up a great contract structure to make sure that they can add the weapons in NFL Free Agency and the NFL Draft that they’ll need. 

Players like Bijan Robinson, Tyjae Spears and others could have a major impact in New Orleans next year.
