Passionate about plants, birds and all other wildlife from an early age, Dr Stephanie Tyler, has spent a life time dedicated to the environment and conserving the natural world around her home in the Wye Valley and beyond. Ornithologist, zoologist, naturalist, conservationist, and author Dr Tyler is particularly known for her work on Dippers and the conservation of river habitats. For more than forty years, she has been studying this aquatic songbird on rivers in Monmouthshire and in the Black Mountains. This spring is no exception, as Pauline Smith joins her to see how they're fairing and to learn more about Dr Tyler who, earlier this year, was awarded the MBE for services to nature conservation in the UK and Africa.
