On this episode of "Make It Cute" Miles talks about all things Christmas in his "Christmas Countdown Checklist" we cover a variety of Christmas related topics including movies, music, and food (of course). Miles shares some of his favorite memories associated with Christmas and related things, and gives tips about how not to be a Scrooge this year.
Miles's Favorite Cheese Lasagne:
Lasagne sheets
1 cup ricotta
1 egg
Garlic Powder
Italian seasoning
Nutmeg
Salt
Pepper
1/2 stick butter
1-2 garlic cloves
2 14 oz cans crushed tomatoes
2 cups shredded mozzarella
Start with the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan and cook garlic for 45 seconds in melted butter, add in tomatoes. Cook on low for 2 hours and salt and pepper at the end. Lay sauce down then lasagna sheet. Mix ricotta with egg, garlic powder, nutmeg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (season with your heart my love). Spoon a layer of ricotta mixture over lasagna sheet then top with a layer of shredded cheese. Continue layering until you run out of ingredients, make sure last layer is topped with cheese. Cover and bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes, remove cover and bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly. Let rest 15-20 minutes before servings.
Spiked Eggnog (Who Drinks Just Regular Anyways):
4-5 oz eggnog
1 oz rumchata
1 oz coffee liqueur
Combine ingredients in a glass with ice. Stir and top with a cinnamon stick and ground nutmeg.
