Submit ReviewThank you guys for your patience the past month while I took some time off! Today'e episode i'm talking about tips for when you feel unmotivated and like you don't want to do anything. We touch on seasonal depression as well as feeling burnout. I also give some life + dating updates, since I haven't chatted with you guys in a month!
My tips for burnout: 1. Take a break when you need to 2. Let yourself feel how you feel & not be guilty about it 3. If you can, schedule in some you-time to re-evaluate your goals, meditate, relax, self care, even if just 1 night. If you can, book time away to re-center even if just a quick staycation 4. Try to break up your routine so every day doesn’t feel the same - doing things at different times, getting excited about little things 5. Remember why you’re doing what you’re doing
My tips for when you don’t feel like doing anything at all / getting motivated: 1. The hardest part is getting out of bed & getting up. Once you do that, things already get easier. 2. First thing after you get up, have something you look forward to: making a new coffee, playing a record or some music to get you going, something that’s a mood booster for you 3. Let yourself have a full lazy day or night without feeling bad about it! Then start tomorrow off on a new, fresh foot 4. Our bodies will slowly adjust to the time & season change, but so many people struggle with this time of year! It is hard to get used to it again. 5. Have things to look forward to & work towards: a dinner or night out/in at the end of the week, a future trip, girls night in with friends, even a TV show you make an event of watching every week. It’s the little things!
