Wisdom-Trek Podcast Script - Day 2173 Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps! I am Guthrie Chamberlain, and we are on trek.com/wisdom-trek-podcast/day-2173">Day 2173 of our trek. The purpose of Wisdom-Trek is to create a legacy of wisdom, to seek out discernment and insights, and to boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. In today’s Wisdom Nugget, we explore the wisdom of the ages in the Book of Proverbs. We are diving into Proverbs 3:11-20 from the New Living Translation. This passage offers valuable insights into the rewards of embracing wisdom and trusting in the Lord. So, let’s embark on this quest for wisdom together! Our trek begins with verses 11 and 12, reminding us that the Lord’s discipline is essential to our growth. Let’s read the verses together: Proverbs 3:11-12 My child, don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, and don’t be upset when he corrects you. For the Lord corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. It might not always be pleasant, but just as a loving parent disciplines their child for their benefit, our Heavenly Father disciplines us out of love. These verses encourage us to embrace this discipline, knowing it’s for our good. Moving forward, we encounter a beautiful passage that extols the value of wisdom. Verses 13 to 18 capture the incomparable worth of wisdom: Proverbs 3:13-18 Joyful is the person who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding. For wisdom is more profitable than silver, and her wages are better than gold. Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. She offers you long life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left.  She will guide you down delightful paths; all her ways are satisfying. Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her; happy are those who hold her tightly. Did you catch that? Wisdom is more precious than silver, gold, or even rubies! It brings us understanding, happiness, and a fulfilled life. As we seek wisdom, we draw closer to God’s heart and align ourselves with His divine plan. Our journey through these verses brings us to a captivating image – the Tree of Life. Let’s read verses 19 and 20: Proverbs 3:19-20 By wisdom the Lord founded the earth; by understanding he created the heavens. By his knowledge the deep fountains of the earth burst forth, and the dew settles beneath the night sky. The Tree of Life, a symbol of God’s provision and sustenance, takes us back to the Garden of Eden. Through wisdom, God laid the earth’s foundations and established the heavens. It’s a reminder of His creative power and ongoing involvement in the world around us. As we conclude our trek through Proverbs 3:11-20, let’s reflect on how these verses apply to our daily lives. First, we should embrace the Lord’s discipline with humility, recognizing that it molds us into better versions of ourselves. Let’s view it as a pathway to growth and transformation. Second, let’s seek wisdom above all else. Let’s commit to continually learning and growing in...
