Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on trek.com/wisdom-trek-podcast/day-1995">Day 1985 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase wisdom and create a living legacy. Proverbs 16:16 says, "How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!" If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget. Today’s quote is from Dr. Myron S. Allen, and it is, “An idea in a cage is like a silver dollar buried in the ground. Both are safe, but neither produces anything.”

Don’t Be Too Safe

Ideas or plans kept to yourself and not executed result in nothing for you or the world. Our purpose, our vocation as Christ-followers, is to be salt and light to the world while building God’s kingdom. If we remain safe in our little bubble, then we are not fulfilling God’s commands to go into all the world to make disciples throughout our sphere of influence. Instead, we are to plant the good news into the hearts of those with whom we rub shoulders. Or else we are to water the seeds which others have already planted. We are not to be idle. As the parable that Jesus taught in Matthew 25, we are to take what God has given us, whether little or much, and multiply it to the best of our abilities. Let us not play it safe as the one servant did and hide the money in the ground; let us be about multiplying His kingdom. trek.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Don%E2%80%99t-Be-Too-Safe-3-300x169.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="169"> 1 Corinthians 3:5-7 After all, who is Apollos? Who is Paul? We are only God’s servants through whom you believed the Good News. Each of us did the work the Lord gave us. I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and come along tomorrow for another day of our Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.
