Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase wisdom and create a living legacy. Proverbs 16:16 says, "How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!" If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget. Today’s quote is from Unknown, and it is, “Although we cannot change the direction of the wind, we can adjust our sails.”Adjust Your Sails
It is very accurate that we cannot change the direction of the wind, no matter how ingenious we become as humankind. We have learned to use the wind to our advantage to pump water, generate electricity, and make vehicles of all types more aerodynamic. We have had to learn how to use the forces of nature created by God to allow us to flourish as the human race. Even in a tiny sailboat, you can use the wind to progress forward if you know how to adjust your sails properly. There are no excuses for giving up. It is up to you to learn how to take advantage of the headwinds of life. Even the smallest planes always take off into the wind to achieve the lift needed to become airborne. So the next time you have to face the wind or feel you have been dealt a bad hand in life, learn how to set your sail, or play your hand to your advantage. God provides us with many lessons about life, and it is up to us to learn the lessons He is teaching us.
