A Thousand Sermons – Daily Wisdom

Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on trek.com/wisdom-trek-podcast/day-1825">Day 1825 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase wisdom and create a living legacy. Proverbs 16:16 says, "How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!" If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget. Today’s quote is from Croft M. Pentz, and it is, “A pint of example is worth a thousand sermons.”

A Thousand Sermons

I am sure you have heard that we need to walk our talk, and that is so true. I agree. Especially as Christ-followers, we need to ensure that our daily lives match what we talk about and that what we talk about is in line with God’s precepts. There is much harm that can be done to the cause of Christ if our example betrays our faith. We are to be salt and light in a tasteless and dark world. If we are not, then God’s kingdom will not be built through us as it should be. So the next time you are about to open your mouth to say something, talk about someone, or spread information that is not true, then it would be best to pause and either say nothing or only say that which is encouraging uplifting to others. Don’t let your thousand sermons return empty. trek.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/A-Thousand-Sermons-3-300x169.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="169"> Ephesians 4:29-30 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of our Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy. trek.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/A-Thousand-Sermons-2-296x300.jpg" alt="" width="296" height="300"> If you would like to listen to any of our past 1824 treks or read the Wisdom Journal, they are available at trek.com">Wisdom-Trek.com.
