A Pile Of Rocks – Daily Wisdom

Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1823 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase wisdom and create a living legacy. Proverbs 16:16  says, "How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!" If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget: Today’s quote is from Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and it is, "A pile of rocks ceases to be a rock when somebody contemplates it with the idea of a cathedral in mind."

A Pile Of Rocks

It has been said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that statement is so true. Of course, it applies to people, but it can apply to just about anything. For example, before we had the opportunity to work with a construction company in Arizona, I thought that the desert had quite ugly landscapes, especially compared to southeastern Ohio’s lush green rolling hills. However, after living in Arizona part-time, I came to love the beauty of the desert. Indeed, it was different but beautiful in its way. If you look for it, you can see God’s hand and beauty in almost anything, person, or situation. As with our quote today, if you take your eyes off a pile of different sizes of uncut rocks in your mind’s eye, you can begin to see the beautiful cathedral that that same pile of ugly rocks can construct. So instead of negatively looking at people, places, or things and judging them, look for the beauty within them. Look to the valleys, plains, hills, and the heavens, and see that indeed God’s beauty surrounds us everywhere we choose to see it. trek.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/A-Pile-Of-Rocks-3-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300"> Ecclesiastes 3:11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of our Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy. trek.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/A-Pile-Of-Rocks-4-300x200.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="200"> If you would like to listen to any of our past 1822 treks or read the Wisdom Journal, they are available at trek.com">Wisdom-Trek.com.
