Thank you for listening to the Following Films podcast. Today my guest is Jayson Crothers. I had Jayson on the show to discuss his work on the hit Freeform series Cruel Summer. The show is told over three summers in the 1990s and is about a girl who goes missing and another who  mysteriously takes over her life.

We also discuss our shared love of Battlestar Galactica and Jayson convinces me to take the plunge on 300+ episodes of Supernatural…. Well dip my toes in at the very least.

We had some technical issues the first time we recorded so you will notice an abrupt ending in the first half of our conversation. I could have spliced the two pieces together and made the episode feel like it all took place at once but there were about 4 days in  between the two halves that had a slightly different feel. I’d prefer to expose the warts and put out a more honest representation of our conversations. Or I’m lazy and all the “honesty” nonsense is a way to justify my hatred of the editing process. And yet another reason I’d make a terrible filmmaker.
