It's far from a secret that the Arizona State Sun Devils football team fielded a bad defense in 2022, but things will be changing for the better in 2023. While improvements have been in dire need throughout the unit, the secondary in particular looks rejuvenated and ready to be special. Returning are stars Ro Torrence, Chris Edmonds, and Jordan Clark who were diamonds in the rough a year ago. There are also returning guys like Ed Woods and Isaiah Johnson, who will be projected in important roles this year. Several transfers from the NCAA Transfer Portal join the roster as well, including Xavion Alford, Sharmi Simmons, and most recently Demetries Ford as well as some freshmen like Montana Warren and Keith Abney. When looking at this secondary, it's not hard to feel excited about its potential, and host Richie Bradshaw believes that the Sun Devils could be on the cusp of a special secondary in 2023.
